If we can lag systems out that easily then thats the right way to go from now on. Ensure that hostiles do not leave the system. Then have other fleet ready to go and do stuff in other systems uncontested.

We didn't expect to be stuck in a damn sinkhole of a system for 3-4 hours nursemaiding caps that had logged 3 hours before, getting confused and unhelpful replies from low paid GM's with absolutely no authority while ccp is celebrating a new record number of subscribers who in part are people not actually logged in. why not.. ? http://www.eveonline.com/faq/faq_01.asp
